Trade #55
5:52PM, Wednesday, December 5, I made my 55th trade. I traded Chris his 1937 Yankees Autograph Baseball for my Hammond Organ. Chris has been looking for a Hammond Organ like this for months. 15 years ago his grandpa gave him this baseball and Chris knows what it could be worth, but to him the organ is worth more than the ball, and he wants to see my project succeed. Him and I both took a risk on this trade though, the organ needs to be fixed, and the ball had the chance of being a fake, both costing a couple hundred dollars each (getting the baseball certified and getting the organ to perfect working condition.) However I'm fairly certain the ball is real, at least the most important signature is, Lou Gehrig. I'll be getting it authenticated in the next few weeks (hopefully to have authentication by mid-January). And Chris is sure he can get the organ working how he likes.
Chris is in several bands, one of which is "The Sun" check out his website and music:
http://www.myspace.com/thesun

I had alot of fun with Chris researching this trade, he's a cool guy and I wish him luck with the organ. He plans to get it working and play shows in Columbus, I hope to attend when he does!

Thank you Chris!

I also had to sell the Wireless Card, Smoker, Comic Books, & NovoPhones to pay for the authentication (which I hope will arrive in mid-January):

-I wanted to make a trade offer. I have a 2000-2001 Honda XR 100 (needs new back wheel/spokes). Also I have a nice stereo, about a year old that I've used it once, I have some old baseball cards like brooks Robinson and a authentic Todd heap autographed 8 x 10 picture with a coa and a skinny PS2 with a lot of games.
-I have a Native American three legged bowl with beautiful hand painted scenes. The interior is in excellent condition with a traditional design. The exterior has three frames, each with three figures and what appears to be an elephant. One figure is kneeling between two standing figures. Its in great condition aside from a few small chips around the rim.
I also have a very nice Native American hand carved medallion fashioned from shell. The interior is hand carved in a design similar to a zia symbol. The pattern almost appears to be a small labryth. Its slightly larger than a fifty cent piece and has two holes at the top.
-I have a lot of sports items to trade (baseballs, jerseys, helmets, footballs, etc.) and would be willing to do so for this item. I also have old sports cards as well that I can trade.

the Tucson and Phoenix Home Shows and they can be used
indoors or outdoors. We would also consider including
a matching steel barrel cactus. The barrel cactus
sells for $325. (To verify these prices and the high
quality of these items, please visit

Easy to move and easy to secure (to prevent theft).
Plus no water needed; no maintenance required; no
damage from birds, insects and; able to fill areas
around your home and building where nothing else
will grow; plus safe around pools, hot tubs and other
landscaping (no thorns).
The only reason we're considering selling/trading is
because we have 3 at our home and this is an extra
steel cactus set that has never been displayed. More
importantly, we visited your website and admire your
values.
-I have small set of genuine horn bill tortoise shell serving pieces, circa 1900 (now on endangered/protected list). Some are finished, some are still in the rough.
The collection came from an estate sale of the first white woman born in New Guinea. Her father was one of the first missionary pioneers into the country - so much so that his partner was eaten by cannibals! Anyway, the estate was liquidated, and most of the collectibles went to a Lutheran college in Nebraska for historical display (F.E. Pietz Collection). There was a book written by her sister-in-law about their time in New Guinea, which furthers the history surrounding the items.
Many of these items were appraised by an antiquities appraiser out of Kansas. I spoke with her about these tortoise shell items I'm offering up to you and she indicated she didn't have figures for them, but since tortoise shell is no longer harvested - it is all valuable.
Marketing rare endangered species is tough, but antique dealers drool over them. These are all "pre-ban", with proof, so it's much more marketable that random items brought in from overseas. I recently acquired them, and will be taking them by some local dealers here in Colorado Springs, then moving my way up to Denver looking for the highest price - unless you are interested. I normally collect sports memorabilia, so this really isn't my specialty.
-I have moved to a new house and I have things I can offer. For one, I have a newer built-in GE trash compactor that was never used (value of $500-600). I put in new countertops and didn't allow enough clearance for the compactor. I also have a barely used iron fireplace poker set that I could add.
-I have a collection of 5 Original Ernest Fredericks Paintings. I know you wanted a single item, but 5 Fredericks would be very valuable to a collector or art dealer. They are original oil on canvas, all in the original frames. If you check out his artwork its pretty valuable. I have single vintage baseball bats that are worth that kind of money, but I don't know if that is something you want to get involved in.
-So would you trade the baseball for an authenticated jim thorpe signed photograph{three or so letters have been traced lightly with a pencil but is still worth lots of $$$
-Pink Floyd Roger Waters signed guitar and A Queen Victoria signed document
-i have a huge comic collection, also many trains andold toys
-a new-ish (September, 2007) Westinghouse LCD flat-panel HI-DEF TV
-Like new coleman generator, Beautiful czech Mauser with bayonet, Many collectibel knives, Lots of big boy toys, 1988 small GMC Jimmy 4x4 reblt engine 6 cyl.and more, 1988 Mazda B2200 PU only 200 miles on rebuilt engine cold ac ( needs small amount of body work on rear quarter panel but truck still looks good and runs great, 1983 KTM 250 great compression., Lots of gold and diamond jewerly, 1978 Fender Musicamaster Bass good condition, 1968 Epiphone acoustic guitar -Beautiful. Great running Classic 1983 Honda Nighthawk 750 (Only made in 82 & 83) with clear title
-8*10 Picture of Hank Aaron & Baseball card Signed By Hank Aaron Mint Cond
-A 1966 Mantle. It is in very good shape with no creases. Corners are typical for its age. The rest of the cards are either one of the stacks. Each stack is 100,000 cards. So I'm offering the Mantle and 20 5,000 count boxes.
