After Christmas Special

Well, hello there fine folks. It is a couple days after Christmas and I am here with another installment in the Stay At Home Brad series. I know you have been checking back every day for new content to appear, well today is your lucky day as it’s here!

We had a grand time during Christmas. This is, as you know, Eliza’s first. It was also the first time we had the big Christmas Day festivities at our home. It was real fun. Amanda and I, well mostly Amanda, made some delicious dishes. The main one being what is called a “Waldorf Ham”. That is a spiral ham with walnut-apple stuffing stuffed in between the slices. And if that’s not enough, after the slices are stuffed you put apple pie filling on top of the whole thing and cook it. It is de-freakin-licious. You can find the recipe at tasteofhome.com.

We also had homemade eggnog. Wow, that was a tasty beverage. It takes quite a while to make so you have to get it started early. The hardest part about making it was stirring it constantly for like 45 minutes so the eggs didn’t get all scrambled. That would be nasty to have chunky eggnog. Nobody wants that. It was better than any store purchased eggnog I have ever had. I hope we get to have that again sometime.

I hope all of you had as merry a Christmas as we did here. We will have an even better one next year as Eliza gets older and can participate more in the goings on. She “helped” open a few of her presents this time, but next time she’ll probably be full on ripping up and playing with paper and boxes and things. So look for next year’s Christmas posting for hilarious video of Eliza playing and whatnot. Till then you’ll have to suffice with just regular old postings here, which I am going to be better at in this up-coming year. There will be more about that in an upcoming post.
