There are many places in Denver that would be fun for a child to go to. Probably more than any human person could ever go to without unlimited time. So I have come up with, or am coming up with, a list of places I for sure want to go with Eliza when she is at the age where she would want to go places and see things. The list may contain any number of items. It will be an ongoing thing, not completed here today, only being completed once we have done everything there is to do, which is to say it will never be complete.
First on the list is the 88 Drive In Theater up in Commerce City, CO. It is the only one in the Denver Metro area as far as I know, they closed the Cinderella a few years back to put up condos. Amanda and I have been to the 88 a few times and it is great. You get two movies for less than the price of one and get to sit in your own comfortable car and control the volume of the movie, temperature of your car and the cell phones of those next to you!
It’s a real blast from the past man. I highly recommend it to everyone. I sure hope they stay in business for a long long time so we can make family traditions of going to the drive in movies. They open up come spring time, you should go check it out. They always have the latest top Hollywood hits for viewing, no B-movies (at least not intentional ones.)
