We went over to the ocean shore today, to a place called Ocean Shores as luck would have it. It was real neat. We parked right out on the beach and walked up it a ways. It’s been many years since I have been to the ocean and longer for Amanda so it was nice. Eliza has never been to the beach before. We don’t have too many of them in Colorado.
It is quite a drive out there, I had no idea it was so far to the real sea. I mean, they have ocean water here in Seattle, but it’s not the open ocean, it’s the Puget Sound. And what is a sound anyways?
We thought we might find some seashells down by the seashore but we had bad luck with that. Well, we found plenty of busted shells but none that were whole and really worth saving. We did save a couple though, so we could have some proof of Eliza’s first ocean visit.
Well, that’s all I have to say about that.
