Eliza got to get all bundled up today for the first time since last winter/spring. It was downright chilly this morning, and raining too! It rained like 4 times over the summer so “we needed the moisture.”
It was fun wearing sweatshirts today, Eliza has a few of them but hasn’t got to wear them because she was too small back in the colden days of before summer. She did wear some snowsuits though, but hopefully it’ll be a while till we break them out again. I like the cooler weather but don’t want snow just yet!
This summer though, man it’s been a scorcher. I didn’t really realize how oppressively hot it is here in Colorado till we went to and came back from Seattle. The weather, while we were there anyways, was perfect for me. It wasn’t too hot during the day and it was cool/cold at night so you could sleep. It didn’t rain either, we were there during a near record dry spell as it turned out.
Anyways, once we got off the plane back in Denver it was like walking into an oven. My skin dried out before I even disembarked the plane! It was terrible! And it didn’t get any better till today. I’m pretty sure it was the hottest summer ever.
And now we get a taste of fall. And Eliza gets to wear sweatshirts and long sleeves. Did you notice she is wearing shoes? She does that now, which is nice.
