Today = Supposed To Be Birthday

The cutest baby I have posing for a picture. Did you know that October 1 was supposed to be Eliza’s birthday? It’s true. But she was born a couple months before it. If things turned out the way they were “supposed” to we would be eating cake today.

I’m glad it happened how it did though. As tough as having her in the NICU was, it was cool getting her (and cake) sooner.

You may be happy to find out that Eliza seems to be recovering well from her croup. She still has a little bit of it but it’s on it’s way out. We kept the house super steamy today. It was like a sauna in here. I wish we had a humidity-o-meter so I could tell you what it was, I know it was high though.

We read somewhere that one thing that happens often after the croup is an ear infection. I sure hope Eliza doesn’t get one of them. That won’t be good at all, for two reasons. Reason 1: ear infections are just bad and nobody wants one. Reason 2: we’re supposed to be going to Albuquerque this coming weekend for the Balloon Fiesta.

We are getting super stoked for that. It’s going to be so cool. Hundreds of hot air balloons up in the air all at once. Nice. One thing that I hope we can do is to stop in Santa Fe. Last time we went down that way we made a stop there and found the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to. Which is weird because who would think that New Mexico would have the best Chinese food? It was called Chopsticks and is just this little “hole in the wall” type place with not much seating but really good eating.

Alright then, it’s time to get done here. Thanks for stopping by and sharing a few seconds here with us. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!!
