This is an up close videographic accounting of Eliza’s first carousel ride. We did it at the Denver Zoo last weekend. It made me dizzy and sick feeling but Eliza liked it, although she was making crazy faces and seemed to be a little bit shaky. She wanted to go again right away so it must not have been too bad.
It’ll be fun when she gets big enough to go on rides at amusement parks. I just checked the kids’ rides at Elitch Gardens here in Denver and the first few I looked at needed the kid to be 36″ to ride alone but could be accompanied by a person 16+ if they weren’t. Also, the kid can’t be a “hand-held infant” which I guess means they have to be able to stand/sit by themselves.
I can’t remember how tall Eliza was last time we took her to the doctor. Which reminds me, we need to get started making her stand up against a wall and marking her height. I don’t know why we haven’t done that yet. I’m gonna do it tomorrow, ok. Ok.
Well anyways, next summer we’ll go to Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. We’ll go there a few times a year for a few years till we get real good at amusement parking and both Eliza and Henry get bigger. Then we’ll step it up a notch and go to Disneyland out in beautiful Southern California. Then after we’ve done that we’ll tackle the big daddy, Disney World! Wow, what fun we will have. I can hardly wait. Unfortunately, we have to. No amusement park fun for us, yet. Bye!
