Salad, A Child’s Worst Nightmare

Over the Labor Day Weekend, we went down to Colorado Springs to see the sights, mostly the hot air balloon sights at the 38th (and possibly final) Colorado Balloon Classic at Memorial Park. It’s Eliza’s 3rd and Henry’s 2nd hot air balloon festival, they are quite the balloon goers! We had a grand old time …

What are they putting in the strawberries?

wpid-strawberry-.jpg.jpeg

What are they putting in the strawberries these days? I don’t know what it is, but it is highly addictive. I can’t stop eating them. I want to stop (just kidding, I don’t) but I just can’t. Once I pop that red berry goodness into my mouth it’s all over. Katie bar the door, and …

Voodoo Doughnuts In Denver. Meh.

After however long they’ve been opened, we finally went to Voodoo Doughnuts here in Denver. And boy was I disappointed. It’s not that they were bad, they weren’t. I guess they just didn’t live up to they hype the lines out the door and down the block built up. We got the Voodoo Dozen so …

We broke out the grill and cooked up some shrimps. Oh man, I love grillin’ season! I know a lot of you do it all year but I don’t like to go out on our little tiny patio when it’s snowy and cold. When the weather warms up and we can get out and make …

Rudy’s BBQ in Colorado Springs Review.

wpid-20140322_143115.jpg

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, sometimes it’s a slice of brisket. This time it was the brisket. Now I know you see all my various Social Media posts and have probably seen this pic, or one very similar, and I offer you my deepest sympathy. Sometimes it just has to happen that way. …

Let’s Talk Turkey. No Wait, Let Us Not

wpid-2014-02-14-20.15.36.jpg.jpeg

This is a thing from Del Taco. This thing is gross. We’ll, TBH, I didn’t eat it. Just the thought of a ground turkey taco is a bit nauseating. It might be great tasting but I’ll never know. I eat the “beef” with no problem but I just won’t do this. That is all.

Shari’s Berries, We Don’t Need Your Stinking Shari’s Berries

Today I was gonna make some fancy Valentine’s Day Choco-strawbs for my wife Amanda. The problem was she came home earlier than expected and I hadn’t even started yet. So she helped make them. It’s OK, help is good sometimes. Anyways, these are the same if not better than that huckster Shari will sell you …

PB&J And Oroweat Bread

wpid-20140129_213722.jpg

PB&J And Oroweat bread, specifically the Healthy Multigrain flavor, don’t mix well. I tried it and didn’t like it. The whole, multi grains were just too dry with the peanut butter. If I was to rip the top crust off it would have been OK, but then there go all yer grains. Or if I …

Hey Look I Made Taquitos

I really like taquitos, who doesn’t right? So we have about a thousand corn tortillas to use up and I thought I’d try to make some for myself. They’re just filled with cheese because I wasn’t really looking to put too much effort into it, in case they didn’t work or whatever. Next time I’ll …

Texas Waffles

wpid-20140107_074831.jpg

Hi, there, the waffles at the continental breakfast at our hotel are shaped like Texas. It makes them taste better than the regular shaped ones. It’s strange but true. I have never had an intentionality state shaped food before and now I wonder if it would make it all taste better. What about a Nevada …

It’s Not Poop

What you are seeing here is Eliza with what could be either poop or chocolate all over her hands and face. Luckily for everyone, it’s chocolate. If it were the other, I would have been doing vomiting instead of taking a photo. The chocolate was good, as most chocolate is. It was part of …
